Customer Feedback

How did we do? Have you got some feedback for us? We would love to hear from you.

Here is some of our recent feedback:

Pierre (Desktop Support Consultant, Sydney, Australia):

Thank you for all your support and help with this product (Temperature Thermometer). Your customer service is outstanding! I deal with suppliers and manufacturers on a daily basis but have never come across such prompt and excellent service. Your company is very customer focused and I have no doubt that I will be a repeat customer in the future.

David (National IT Manager, Melbourne, Australia):

Just thought I’d drop you a note to let you know that your Ethernet thermometers are now a critical part of our infrastructure. They alert us to over temp warning in our Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane server rooms, where we can take action and monitor the temperature via our Blackberry or our website [Ed: screen shot below].

It has saved us trips into the office as we have often been able to get security to reset aircon – we can then monitor it without making a trip in.

They have also saved our equipment on several occasions when we have had an aircon failure during the night.

I couldn’t recommend them enough.

Regards, David

Brian (Melbourne, Australia):

Your customer service sets a new high-water mark in my experience,
much appreciated, keep up the good work :-)

Mark (Perth, Western Australia):

Thank you very much for processing the order promptly for us.

We do strive for happy, well-looked after and supported customers. So please contact us to help spread the word, or let us know if we can help you better.

TH2E – Temperature & Humidity units – SNMP / ModBus options vs Event Logging memory

On the TH2E (temperature & humidity sensing units, over Ethernet) customers have a choice of two different factory options:

  • Temperature / Humidity / Alerts / Event memory + logging

OR

  • Temperature / Humidity / Alerts / SNMP / ModBus

In general, most customers want the TH2E units with ‘event memory’ and temperature/humidity logging. But if you require SNMP (e.g. for Nagios, NetSaint etc.) or if you require ModBus functionality for a specific application in your organisation, please mention this when ordering a TH2E.

The TH2E manual is available for download from here: TH2E PDF manual download.

SNMP is discussed in the TH2E manual from page 41 onwards.

ModBus is discussed in the TH2E manual on page 46.

Not sure what option you need? Then simply contact us for more information.

Synergy Smart Power Meter Email EM1000 display register explanation

How do I tell how much power I’ve exported to the grid with my smart power meter Email EM1000?

For those customers with a Email EM1000 single phase smart power meter (used by Synergy in Western Australia, and other utility companies elsewhere in Australia), here are the break-downs of what each register or display are on your power meter, assuming Import / Export power, such as a grid-connected solar photovoltaic (solar PV) array…

Pressing the RED button (top-right corner of the smart power meter) changes to the next display / register:

Display / Register number:

  1. Total kWh
  2. Total kWh – Peak
  3. Total kWh – Off Peak
  4. Total kWh – Weekday shoulder
  5. Total kWh – Weekend shoulder
  6. Total kWh – EXPORTED
  7. Total kWh – EXPORTED – Peak
  8. Total kWh – EXPORTED – Off Peak
  9. Total kWh – EXPORTED – Weekday shoulder
  10. Total kWh – EXPORTED – Weekend shoulder
  11. Voltage (e.g. 240v)
  12. Current (Amps) e.g. 2.5A
  13. Power Factor (e.g. -0.85)
  14. Display Test
  15. Time
  16. Date

The display / register list then repeats again.

Note: The “Exported” values will appear with a minus or ‘negative’ (-) symbol next to them, to indicate that you have exported power back to the grid :-) .
